CGLA Board Meeting Minutes
November 10, 2009
Buck Community Center, 2004 W. Powers Ave., Littleton CO 6:30 pm
Board Members Present: Kate Dresher: Executive Director, Marc Luckett: President, Kristin Linhardt: Vice President, Chris Cosentini: Secretary.
Welcome/ Call to order
- Introduction of Executive Board Members Present
- Introduction of Delegates/Sign-in Sheet
- Motion to approve minutes from the Sept.22th Meeting – motion approved
Statement of the President
- Administrative
- Motion to remove the term limits for the CGLA treasurer. Due to the extensive training and time to learn how to manage the CGLA books it was recommended we remove the two year term limit for the treasurer. Motion was approved.
Executive Director's Report:
A. Recommended books for new coaches and parents:
- Baffled Parents Guide to Coaching Girls
- PCA Double Goal Coach
- Positive Sports Parenting
B. Coaches Education – US Lacrosse Level 1 training, January 30 th at the Denver School or Science and Technology
C. All present discussed proposed guidelines:
- How to manage inappropriate behavior by coaches and spectators.
- Parent code of conduct
- Sideline managers
- Coaches code of conduct
- Parent/coach removal
Mountain Lax requested some games be scheduled on their home field.
